The nefarious billionaire was accused in an investigation of having financed terrorist organizations in the United States

George Soros is once again at the center of controversy following the publication of a report by the Capital Research Center (CRC), which accuses him of funding organizations linked to domestic terrorism in the United States and extremist groups in other regions of the world.
According to the report, the Open Society Foundation, founded by Soros, has allocated more than $20 million to organizations that fit the FBI's definition of domestic terrorism.
The report states that, between 2016 and 2024, Soros's network channeled approximately $80 million to organizations considered extremist in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.

Of that amount, $23.27 million reportedly went directly to seven groups that promote or support violence, economic sabotage, property destruction, political harassment, and other criminal activities.
Some of these groups have strong connections with the Muslim Brotherhood and have even publicly glorified the October 7, 2023 massacre perpetrated by Hamas against Israeli civilians. This accusation raises the scandal to an international dimension, linking the foundation's funding to organizations associated with Islamic extremism.
Legal and tax repercussions
The Capital Research Center, a conservative American think tank, describes the evidence as "indisputable" and requests that legal action be taken against Open Society, including the revocation of its privileged tax status as a nonprofit organization in the United States.
This type of sanction would have significant financial and operational implications for Soros's network, which has funded progressive causes worldwide, from drug legalization to open migration policies and judicial reforms.

Connections with the Charlie Kirk case
The scandal comes amid the FBI's investigation into the murder of Charlie Kirk, conservative leader and founder of Turning Point USA. Authorities are examining possible links to far-left groups, some of which have reportedly received direct or indirect funding from Soros's network.
This adds political pressure to the case, at a time when political violence and left-wing ideological extremism are on the rise in the United States.
The dark legacy of Soros's son
Since 2023, George Soros's son, Alex Soros, has assumed leadership of Open Society. Media attention is now focused on whether he will follow his father's ideological approach or attempt to distance himself from the accusations and redefine the foundation's role.
Meanwhile, analysts such as Glenn Beck believe that this scandal could have a decisive political impact. Beck stated that the CRC's revelations are "the smoking gun that Trump can use" to launch a legal offensive against Soros's network, using the RICO law (used against organized crime) as a legal framework.
