Goodbye Rusherking: the singer introduced his new name and explained why he left it behind
The artist from Santiago announced that he will no longer use 'Rusherking' and explained what this change represents in his life
The Argentine trap universe said goodbye to an era:Rusherking no longer exists. From now on, the artist from Santiago presents himself simply as Rusher, a change that was not only in form but also in substance. The musician himself confirmed the decision, which marked a turning point in his career and personal life.
The origin of the nickname "Rusherking" dates back to 2015, when the young man began competing in freestyle battles. "I chose it when I was a kid, I played Counter Strike and started rapping in the squares," he recalled in an interview with Los 40. That identity stuck with his first steps in the world of urban music.
A new name, a new stage
However, as time passed and his artistic growth continued, he felt that name no longer represented him. "I'm not denying my past, but the 'king' is part of a younger version of myself. Now I want it to be just Rusher," he stated emphatically.

An ascending career and a search for authenticity
From his beginnings in Los De La Casa and Los Del Espacio, Rusher stood out for his talent and charisma. He shared stages and hits with artists such as Duki, Emilia Mernes, Tiago PZK and María Becerra, establishing himself as a key figure in the national trap scene.
However, behind the success, there was also an internal need for transformation. The name change was a symbolic way to leave behind the persona that propelled him to fame, making way for a version more true to who he is today.

"Rusherking was the kid from the battles. Rusher is the artist I am now," he summarized. This evolution took place both professionally and personally. After high-profile relationships and public breakups—such as those he experienced with María Becerra and Eugenia "la China" Suárez—he found greater emotional balance alongside Ángela Torres, his current partner.
Both went through a crisis, but they reconciled and traveled together to Paris, enjoying a much calmer and more private present. Far from the noise, Rusher chose to focus on his inner and artistic growth.
The future with his own name
The decision to leave "king" behind was not marketing: it was a statement. Rusher wants to keep growing, but from a more honest place. The urban industry often imposes labels, but he chose to let them go to tell a new story.
His career, far from slowing down, promises a new chapter more connected to his emotional and creative present. For now, Rusher seems more ready than ever to prove it.
