The Government of Javier Milei intervened in the serious case of political indoctrination in a school in Formosa and, through the Ministry of Human Capital, requested information from the educational authorities of the province to clarify what happened.
The request arose after the dissemination of a video recorded in a primary school in Gran Guardia, where an official linked various school benefits to the figure of the authoritarian Peronist governor Gildo Insfrán.
The episode occurred at EEP N° 59 “Leonor Mauriño” and features Gladys Esther González, the zonal educational delegate. In the statement from Human Capital, it is reported that the official delivered a speech with a “clear partisan political content” during her visit to the establishment.
The national Government indicated that, according to the video disseminated in the media and social networks, González linked the provision of school uniforms, shoes, and school supplies, as well as the cafeteria service, with the Formosan governor.
The reported case
In the viralized images, the delegate asks the children who sent them the uniforms. After receiving various answers, she insists: “The provincial government. What is the name of the governor?”, to which the students respond: “Gildo Insfrán”.
Later, González mentions the shoes, supplies, milk, and school food, stating: “That is a political decision of the governor”. Also, in the absence of an immediate response from the students, the official indicated to the teachers that it was an aspect to work on.
Precisely, that last point was included by the national Government in its request for explanations to Formosa. Human Capital demanded that the province investigate the facts and determine the appropriate measures regarding the involved authorities.
Serious case of indoctrination in Formosa
The national portfolio was emphatic in describing the episode. In its statement, it maintained that “the use of the school environment to exalt a sitting authority constitutes a matter of institutional gravity” and considered that this situation “violates the principle of neutrality that must govern educational institutions and compromises the freedom of conscience of the students”.
The official request is not limited to determining what happened during the activity. The Ministry of Human Capital also requested that Formosa inform what the existing mechanisms are to prevent and sanction acts of partisan political indoctrination within educational institutions.
In this way, the Government of Milei focused on the indoctrination carried out during the intervention of the zonal delegate and demanded a formal response from the Formosan educational authorities.
The case had gained attention after the video began circulating on social media. Now, the Ministry of Human Capital formally requested the province to proceed with an investigation to clarify the circumstances of what occurred.
