The Government presented a list of 15,000 hooligans who won't be able to attend the Club World Cup.

The Ministry of National Security handed the list of people subject to the right of admission to the United States

A little over a month before the start of the FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held between June 13 and July 14 with the participation of Boca Juniors and River Plate as representatives of Argentine soccer among the 32 teams, the Government of Javier Milei, through the National Security Ministry, reported that it delivered to the government of the United States a list of 15,000 people subject to admission rights in the stadiums where the tournament will take place.

"We are here to deliver to the chargé d'affaires of the US embassy a list of all the people in Argentina who have admission rights. We have 15,000 people who will not be able to enter the Club World Cup that will be played in the United States," said Minister Patricia Bullrich at a press conference.

"For us, this is extremely important, as no one who has committed a crime in Argentine stadiums will be able to enter this World Cup. It is something extremely important," she added.

The official also highlighted: "This means a strengthening in sports security, which is very important for us. Tribuna Segura is a control tool that the Government, the Security Ministry has to prevent violence in stadiums, and the level of reduced violence in stadiums has been very significant in recent years."

Present at the event were Abigail Dressel, chargé d'affaires of the United States embassy in Argentina; Karina Milei, Secretary General of the Presidency; the presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni; and Franco Berlín, head of the Directorate of Security in Football Events.

The achievements of the Tribuna Segura program

During the presentation, Bullrich emphasized the recent achievements of the Tribuna Segura program. "In 2024, controls were carried out in 1,328 matches. We had a 111 percent increase in people with admission rights compared to 2023. We discovered 6,137 people who wanted to enter and couldn't because they had already committed some violent action, and 1,166 people with warrants. And we controlled the largest number of people since Tribuna Segura has existed. This is with the collaboration of all the provinces," she detailed.

"Since we started with the Government, we have controlled more than 4 million spectators. Violent Argentines will not be able to enter the stadium in the United States," stated Minister Bullrich at the end of her speech.

Meanwhile, Abigail Dressel also highlighted the relevance of bilateral cooperation between both countries ahead of the Club World Cup, which will bring together several of the most prominent football institutions on the planet. "I would like to thank Minister Bullrich for the collaboration and constant communication between our governments in terms of security," began the representative of the US embassy in the country.

She added: "Citizen security is a priority for our countries. The US and Argentina are not only committed to security but also to strengthening our diplomatic ties, and we share a great cultural affinity and are united by the passion for soccer, a sport that inspires and connects our societies."

"We deeply value the efforts of the Argentine government to help ensure that this international event is safe for everyone. President Trump has been dedicated to strengthening immigration laws, and it is important that all those who apply to travel to the US are people who respect laws and order. We will continue to work hand in hand with Argentina and move forward together in terms of security," concluded Dressel.
