A moment of extreme tension was experienced by Gustavo Scaglione, the businessman from Rosario who recently led the purchase of Telefe, after he suffered a violent wasp attack that resulted in his emergency hospitalization. The episode occurred on a farm located in the José Ignacio area, in Punta del Este, and it caused serious concern in his inner circle.
According to reports, Scaglione was on a field located about two kilometers (1.24 miles) from the local polyclinic when he was stung by several insects. He was immediately taken by pickup truck to the nearest health center, where he was admitted in critical condition.
"He arrived unconscious, with extremely low blood pressure, below seven", said doctor Leonardo Falcao in a conversation with FM GENTE, when he described the severity of the initial condition.

The medical team immediately activated the international protocol for cases of anaphylactic shock, a severe allergic reaction that can be fatal if medical staff doesn't act quickly. "After we followed all the international guidelines for the case, we were able to stabilize him little by little", explained Falcao, who highlighted the intense work carried out during the first minutes of care.
Once the most critical stage was overcome, the businessman was transferred by ambulance to Mautone Sanatorium to continue with monitoring and observation. The doctor emphasized that the vehicle used, which was donated by a neighbor of the resort, had the necessary equipment to guarantee a safe transfer and that Scaglione arrived "perfectly stabilized".
How is Scaglione currently doing after the wasp attack?
The progress was favorable and, according to Falcao himself, the following day the businessman returned to the polyclinic to personally thank the health personnel. "He came to express his gratitude to us, something that usually doesn't happen", the professional pointed out.
People close to Scaglione confirmed that he is already out of danger and in good general condition. "It was a big scare, but they acted quickly and that was key. He is very grateful to the doctors and the health team, he is already answering messages from his phone and his son traveled to accompany him", close sources stated.
It is worth remembering that, in addition to having become the owner of Telefe in recent months, the businessman leads Grupo Televisión Litoral, whose flagship is Channel 3 of Rosario ("El Tres") and he controls media outlets in several provinces: Channel 6 of Bariloche, Channel 8 of Tucumán ("El Ocho TV"), Channel 9 of Bahía Blanca ("El Nueve TV") and Channel 11 of Salta, as well as radio stations and digital portals such as Rosario3.com.
