Gustavo Scaglione, current owner of Telefe, issued an official statement after his name was mentioned in the death threat complaint filed by Juana Tinelli. The businessman categorically denied the accusations and addressed the financial disputes he has with Marcelo Tinelli.

In the complaint, the model stated that a man called her identifying himself as Scaglione: "Your father knows me very well. You and your whole family need to be very careful". According to her testimony, the tone was "unequivocally threatening."

Gustavo Scaglione's response

The businessman from Rosario sought to clarify his position with a statement in which he expressed his "absolute lack of connection" with the reported events. "The conduct or situation in which an attempt is made to link me could not be further from my principles," he stated.

Scaglione also addressed the mentions of an alleged debt between him and Marcelo Tinelli. "Regarding the unfulfilled financial commitments, I am a plaintiff in two executive lawsuits in which Tinelli is the defendant. In one of them, a final judgment has already been issued and the forced execution of the seized assets is underway."

The debt that connects Scaglione and Tinelli

The financial dispute between the two dates back to 2016. Marcelo Tinelli reportedly requested a six-million-dollar loan to pay off a debt owed by the club San Lorenzo. Over time, the host reportedly made partial payments, without settling the full amount.

In 2021, Gustavo Scaglione acquired that debt, which would now exceed ten million dollars. Although at first both maintained a good relationship, the bond deteriorated over time.

Part of the amount owed, according to reports, could be settled with the sale of a property in Uruguay.

"Speculations are inappropriate and absurd"

To conclude his statement, the businessman described as "absurd any speculation" seeking to link him to the threat received by Juanita Tinelli. "I have had a career characterized by moderation and a low profile. I have no connection whatsoever with the reported incident," he emphasized.
