Justin Lin, Sony's bet for a high-voltage project
Lin, responsible for hits like "Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift" and "Fast & Furious 9," appears to be the ideal choice for a universe that demands large-scale scenes and characters with strong personalities. Although he acknowledged that he is not a gamer, the production team assures that his outsider perspective helps enhance the narrative.
The idea is for this film to be the beginning of a cinematic saga, not a standalone project. For now, there is no confirmed cast or tentative dates.
An expert horror screenwriter adds tension and depth
The script is in the hands of Gary Dauberman, a key figure in horror cinema thanks to "Annabelle," "It," and "The Nun." His involvement promises an adaptation with suspense, intense atmospheres, and an approach that respects the intensity of the video game.
