Homero Pettinato arrives at El Trece: he will be the new host for the afternoons
Roberto Pettinato's son signed a contract with the channel and will debut with an entertainment show
El Trece made a strong bet to renew its afternoons and added a rising figure from streaming: Homero Pettinato, known for his participation in Sería Increíble (Olga), signed a contract with the channel on Wednesday, May 14. The news was confirmed by Ángel de Brito, who announced it publicly through his social media.
"Today Homero Pettinato signs his contract to be the new host of El Trece's afternoons," the journalist posted.
The incorporation is part of the channel's strategy to boost ratings in a challenging time slot.
According to Laura Ubfal, the new cycle will have a format similar to Reacción en cadena, with word games and team competitions. The program's style will aim to capture a family audience, with a fast pace, humor, and linguistic challenges.

The production chose Pettinato for his freshness and recent experience in digital media.
With this move, El Trece attempts to connect with young audiences without neglecting traditional entertainment.
De Brito lashed out at Puro Show and Pampito replied
Meanwhile, the conflict between Ángel de Brito and the Puro Show team reignited.
During his show Ángel Responde (Bondi), the host harshly criticized the El Trece program.
He accused it of "seeking attention by clinging to anything" and noted that "it's not doing well."
"They're grasping at straws," he said, adding that on the show "everyone hates Matías Vázquez, but they don't make it public."
He also claimed that Puro Show was "desperate to improve" and that the ratings of its shows were alarming.
The remarks prompted an immediate response from Sebastián "Pampito" Perelló Aciar.
"How much lies from this man, and how it bothers him that other shows do well," replied Pampito.
He also shared the day's numbers: "Peaks of 4.7 today in Puro Show. It was a difficult day and we managed to turn it around."
A recharged afternoon on El Trece
With the arrival of Homero Pettinato, the channel bets on refreshing its afternoons with dynamic proposals and new faces.
In parallel, the clashes between the station's figures highlight the internal tension over ratings.
Open television remains a competitive field, where every audience point is fiercely contested.
Will Pettinato manage to attract new generations and boost the time slot? The challenge is already underway.
