Human remains were found in a vacant lot in Córdoba capital
It happened in the Chateau Carrera neighborhood. A security guard found human remains inside a garbage bag
A security worker found human remains inside a bag in a vacant lot in the Chateau Carreras neighborhood. The incident occurred this Friday morning, around 10:30, at a construction site on 800 Ramón Cárcano Avenue. The night watchman was making his usual rounds when he detected a suspicious bundle and decided to inspect it.
Inside the bag there was a hand and part of an arm. According to sources close to the case, the cuts on the limbs are precise and authorities do not rule out the possibility of more remains. The victim is believed to be an adult man, although his identity has not been confirmed.
The witness notified 911 and a police operation was quickly set up in the area. The Judicial Police are working with the forensic team to collect evidence. The area was completely cordoned off and placed under custody.

The Prosecutor's Office is involved and a possible settling of scores is under investigation
The case is in the hands of Prosecutor Horacio Vázquez, from District 4, Shift 2. He ordered the participation of the Homicide Division and the Canine Brigade to search the area. Surveillance cameras in the sector are also being analyzed and authorities are trying to determine when the bag was abandoned.
One of the hypotheses under investigation is that of a possible settling of scores. The place where the bag was found is located by the side of the road, which makes it easier to dispose of it without being detected. Authorities refrained from providing details until the results of the forensic examinations are known.
Prosecutor Vázquez stated that identifying the victim is the priority. "This is a recent discovery; until we confirm concrete information, we won't make statements," he said off the record. The autopsy will be key to advancing the case.

Expectations for forensic examinations and search for more remains
The operation focused on a wide area of the vacant lot, with special attention to earth movements. The prosecutor expects the forensic examinations to determine whether there was post-mortem transportation. Authorities do not rule out that the victim may have been killed elsewhere.
The bag found and other elements at the scene are also being examined. Police are working on the hypothesis that the remains were abandoned during the early morning hours. Authorities do not rule out that those responsible may have used vehicles to facilitate the movement.
Local residents expressed fear and surprise at the discovery. "This is a quiet area, nothing like this has ever happened," said one of the neighbors. The investigation is proceeding with total secrecy and under the supervision of the Judicial Police.
