Huracán-Platense: time, TV, line-ups, and each team's current form
Starting at 5:00 p.m., Globo and Calamar will pursue a title that will be historic for both of them
This Sunday, the champion of the 2025 Torneo Apertura will be decided. Huracán will seek to break a 48-year drought without top-flight titles, while Platense, who eliminated three of the five giants, will have a second chance to earn its first star after losing the 2023 Copa de la Liga final to Rosario Central.
In the final, unlike the rest of the play-off matches, two 15-minute extra time periods will be played if the match is tied at the end of regulation time. If the tie persists, the winner will be decided by a penalty shootout.
How is each team doing and when did they last meet?
Huracán arrives at the grand final with good results in its dual competitions. In domestic play, the Parque Patricios team recently eliminated Independiente on penalties after a 0-0 draw in the 90 minutes of regulation time. Meanwhile, on the international stage, it secured its place in the round of 16 of the Sudamericana with a 1-0 victory over Corinthians.

Meanwhile, Platense has become a true "Giant Slayer" by knocking out no fewer than 3 of the 5 giants of Argentine soccer: Racing, River, and most recently, San Lorenzo. Despite playing as the away team, El Calamar dominated much of the match against El Ciclón and managed to win by the minimum, with a goal from Zapiola in the 70th minute.

The last match between the two was on December 9 of last year at the Adolfo Ducó for the Liga Profesional. Back then, the home team won 1-0 with the only goal scored by Ramírez.

Time and TV
El Globo and El Calamar will face each other at 5:00 p.m. at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades in Santiago del Estero. The match will be broadcast by ESPN Premium and TNT Sports. In addition to the title, the winner of the final will secure its spot in the next Copa Libertadores.
