A strong short circuit between Telefe and Nico Occhiato came to light in recent hours, according to Intrusos (América TV). The host, who this year was at the helm of La Voz Argentina 2025, reportedly caused discontent within the channel due to his stance regarding the awards organized by the network.
According to information provided by Rodrigo Lussich, the tension escalated after Occhiato publicly questioned the voting for the "Best Community" category.

Why Telefe would be upset with Nico Occhiato
Lussich stated that at Telefe, they believe Occhiato "sabotaged the ceremony" by advising his followers not to pay to vote. According to the journalist, the channel expected to raise funds through this method because broadcasting the awards is "extremely expensive."
"Occhiato said: 'Don't pay anything, don't spend money, our community doesn't need this.' So he's taking direct aim at the awards," Lussich explained live on América TV.
The controversy over paid voting
During the discussion in the studio, a panelist asked how the system worked. Lussich explained: "The 'Best Community' category is voted on by the public. You can win four million, but you also pay to vote."
