Javier Negre pointed out the environment of María Corina Machado for its closeness to the Democratic Party

The Spanish journalist and figure of international right, Javier Negre, once again marked the field within the Venezuelan debate by directly pointing at the circle of María Corina Machado for her links with democratic sectors, globalists, and funds associated with USAID.

The controversy erupted after the owner of La Derecha Diario responded to criticisms from Machado's supporters, who reproached him for highlighting the new role of Delcy Rodríguez within the political scheme promoted by the administration of Donald Trump in Venezuela.

Negre demonstrated how Delcy went from being a leader associated with chavismo, Cuba, and Iran, to becoming a spokesperson for the White House. Although this shift discomforts part of the traditional anti-chavismo, Javier emphasized that it is an evident reality: Washington decided to prioritize its strategic interests, the stability of the country, and institutional reconstruction over being tied to opposition leaderships that are not necessarily aligned with the ideas of progress.

In this context, Negre harshly questioned Machado's circle and raised the contradiction in which the leader incurs by trying to present herself as a figure of the regional right, while several of her advisors would have maintained economic and political ties with democratic foundations, globalist sectors, and USAID funds.

According to the journalist, those advisors would also have had private conversations with democratic figures in the United States, even with the aim of politically conditioning Trump if the Republican Party does not achieve a good result in the midterm elections.

For Negre, this information reached the White House and explains much of the cooling between Trumpism and Machado's space. “Is María Corina a figure of the right with these relationships? It is clear that she is not,” he stated on his social media.

Axios reported that U.S. officials questioned Machado's attempts to return to the country during the emergency, considering that her actions could generate an unnecessary political escalation amid the humanitarian crisis.

Negre also accused sectors close to Machado of attacking U.S. government officials and communicators aligned with Trump through digital campaigns and bots. In this line, he warned that those seeking to force a social protest in Venezuela could end up harming the very interests of the opposition they claim to defend.
