Nvidia has once again shaken up the tech market after its CEO and founder, Jensen Huang, stated that the company has discovered a “new market” valued at US$ 200 billion thanks to advancements in artificial intelligence.
The executive made the statement during the company's quarterly earnings presentation, which once again reported record figures. Nvidia reported revenues of US$ 81.6 billion and projected to reach US$ 91 billion in the next quarter.

What is Vera, Nvidia's new chip aimed at agent AI
The focus of Nvidia's bet lies in Vera, the new processor presented in March and specifically designed for agent AI systems, a category that seeks to create assistants capable of performing tasks autonomously.
According to Huang, Vera represents “the world's first CPU created specifically for agent AI.” The chip can be sold separately or combined with Nvidia's Rubin GPUs.
The CEO stated that this launch opens up a completely new market for the company, as historically Nvidia has dominated the GPU business, while the CPU segment has been primarily controlled by companies like Intel and AMD.

Why Nvidia believes AI will need billions of CPUs
Huang explained that artificial intelligence models use GPUs for reasoning processes, but autonomous agents primarily rely on CPUs to execute tasks.
According to the executive, the growth of agent AI will trigger massive demand for processors optimized for this type of operation.
Why Nvidia believes that AI will need billions of CPUs
“Today the world has one billion human users. My feeling is that we are going to have billions of agents,” Huang assured during the conference with investors.
Additionally, he compared the future operation of these agents to the current use of personal computers: each system will need its own tools and processing capacity.
Nvidia's new bet against Amazon, AMD, and Intel
Nvidia's entry into the CPU market comes amid increasingly fierce competition among tech giants.
Why Starship is key for NASA and Artemis
Companies like Amazon Web Services are advancing with their own chips for artificial intelligence. In fact, AWS recently announced a multimillion-dollar deal with Meta to supply millions of internally developed processors.
However, Huang stated that Nvidia has already sold US$ 20 billion in Vera CPUs this year, even while the platform is still in full expansion.
What could happen if the launch of Starship V3 fails?
The company bets that Vera will become one of the pillars of the next growth cycle related to artificial intelligence, data centers, and automation.
Nvidia continues to grow driven by artificial intelligence
Nvidia's progress continues to be supported by the global explosion of generative AI and the demand for infrastructure to train advanced models.
The company has established itself as one of the central players in the tech sector and currently dominates a significant portion of the market for accelerators for artificial intelligence.
