The Federal Oral Court 2 (TOF 2) officially announced the seizure of the apartment at San José 1111 where Cristina Kirchner is serving house arrest, as part of the asset execution of the sentence for the Vialidad case.
The measure was communicated this Thursday to the Property Registry and is part of a new round of preventive seizures ordered by the Justice to preserve the assets that could be used to cover the confiscation established against the convicted individuals.

The court's objective is to reach the $685 billion set as the amount of damage caused to the State through the scheme investigated in Vialidad, linked to the direction of 51 public works tenders in favor of companies owned by Lázaro Báez.
The apartment where the former president is staying is registered in the name of Los Sauces SA, the real estate company of the Kirchner family. Cristina Kirchner is serving house arrest there after her conviction for fraudulent administration to the detriment of the State was upheld.

The decision was made by TOF 2, composed of judges Rodrigo Giménez Uriburu, Jorge Gorini, and Andrés Basso, following a new request made by prosecutor Diego Luciani.
The seizure does not currently imply the auction of the property nor does it change its ownership. The measure seeks to legally prevent the transfer of assets while the process to execute the definitive confiscation continues.
More properties under the scrutiny of Justice
In this second stage, Luciani identified 141 properties, including 13 properties belonging to the former president and another 128 belonging to companies related to Báez. Also included were 46 vehicles.
Among the claimed assets are also USD 4,664,000 deposited in a safety deposit box in the name of Florencia Kirchner, another USD 992,134 from a savings account at Banco Galicia, and $53,280.24. The measure also includes properties from the Madero Center Complex that had been rented by businessman Cristóbal López, in addition to land and properties located in Santa Cruz, El Calafate, and Río Gallegos.

The judges stated that the final conviction established that the investigated scheme produced direct economic benefits for Báez and indirect benefits for the Kirchner family. Under this criterion, the Justice seeks to determine which assets acquired between 2003 and 2015 can be subject to confiscation.
In parallel, the Supreme Court still needs to resolve issues related to an initial batch of 111 properties whose asset execution had already been ordered by TOF 2 and subsequently supported by the Federal Chamber of Criminal Cassation.
