Through its official X account, the club from Parque Patricios took an ultrakirchnerist political stance by sharing an image of the Tomás Adolfo Ducó stadium completely filled along with the phrase: "Lands are not sold, they are defended", accompanied by the Argentine flag.
The post appeared after the National Government decided not to proceed with the repeal of the Land Law, legislation enacted in 2011 that establishes a 15% limit on the ownership of rural land by foreign individuals or entities.
A post that sparked interpretations
Although the message referred to the debate over the regulation, the choice of the photograph of Huracán's stadium generated multiple interpretations on social media.
Many users considered that the club took advantage of the context to send a nod to its classic rival, San Lorenzo, due to the historical loss of the grounds of the Old Gasometer, located on Avenida La Plata, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Boedo.
