La Libertad Avanza swept in CABA, defeated Santoro, and PRO came in a distant third.

The official results represent the first and most critical decline of PRO in the City after two decades

After the wait, the results were published and La Libertad Avanza sweeps the elections in the City of Buenos Aires. According to the official results, the force led by President Javier Milei, with his spokesperson Manuel Adorni as the head of the list, obtains 30.10% of the votes.

In second place is Peronism, which had the radical Leandro Santoro as its candidate, with 27.42%. Further behind is PRO, which presented national deputy Silvia Lospennato, with just over 15%, far behind the first two spaces. Additionally, it didn't manage to win any commune.

Adorni leads with 30.1% of the votes with 77% counted according to the partial election results, where several political lists such as La Libertad Avanza, Es Ahora Buenos Aires, and Buenos Aires Primero are competing.

The data was published at 7:12 PM, when 54.20% of the tables had been counted. Additionally, the first reports confirmed low voter turnout: only 52.30% of the register voted.

The official results represent the first and most critical fall of PRO in the City after two decades. Its first victory in CABA dates back to 2005, when Marcos Peña managed to prevail in the legislative elections as part of the ticket headed by Mauricio Macri for national deputy. Two years later, in 2007, PRO took over the Buenos Aires Government Headquarters, a position it has held for 18 uninterrupted years.

The former Head of Government of the City, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, is in fourth place with 8.06% of the votes. From the fifth position are the lists headed by the anti-Semite Vanina Biasi (Frente de Izquierda), Ramiro Marra (2.63%), Paula Oliveto (2.48%), Lula Levy (2.31%), Alejandro Kim (2.05%), and Ricardo Caruso Lombardi (1.68%). The other seven candidates who participated in the electoral contest didn't manage to surpass 1% of the votes.

Silvia Lospennato, the failed PRO candidate, promptly acknowledged the defeat by admitting that, in the same words as the Kirchnerist Sergio Massa in 2023, the numbers weren't what they expected.
