According to the auction prices from Consignaciones Córdoba, the 'Invernada' dropped by 10% compared to last week
The livestock business in Córdoba received a positive signal this Monday, as the price of calves dropped while steers rose slightly, according to what was observed at the auction held by Consignaciones Córdoba, which takes place at the beginning of each week at the Sociedad Rural de Jesús María.
The calf weighing 100 to 150 kilograms (220 to 330 pounds), which producers purchase to fatten and later sell, dropped by 10% compared to the previous week and was paid at $3,700 per live kilogram. Seven days earlier, its value was $4,100 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the young steer weighing 300 to 350 kilograms (660 to 770 pounds), the livestock for consumption, increased by 0.6%, from $3,360 to $3,380 per kilogram.
Reference price for meat
The value of the "fat" steer, which has been moving at an average of 0.5% per week, is a reference for the price of meat on store shelves.
The steer weighing 350 to 400 kilograms (770 to 880 pounds) was paid at $3,200 per kilogram, while the one weighing 400 to 450 kilograms (880 to 990 pounds) was paid at $3,150 per kilogram.
A total of 818 head entered (350 fat cattle and 468 feeder cattle).
The prices at the auction of the Rural Society of Jesús María serve as a guide for livestock values in the country's interior.
