Johto arrives with its starters and key gameplay changes
With this update, the starters Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile will be available in the game, expanding the range of options for trainers. The expansion introduces, for the first time, attacks that do not require energy to execute, a mechanic that can drastically change the pace of the game in the early rounds.
Additionally, the trading system is being modernized: trading tokens are disappearing and are replaced by the new resource, iris dust, which will allow for smoother trades between players. The feature to display wanted cards on the profile is also enabled, making the bartering process within the community easier.

Confirmed cards and legendary protagonists
As expected, Lugia and Ho-Oh are the central figures of Marine and Sky Saber. Lugia stands out with its Elemental Burst attack, which deals 180 damage points when using Fire, Water, and Lightning energies. Ho-Oh, meanwhile, has Turbo Phoenix, which deals 80 points and energizes a Basic Pokémon on the bench.
For collectors, this expansion also offers visually appealing content. The full art Togepi card is already generating enthusiastic comments on social media, while the basic illustration of Chikorita has been praised for its nostalgic aesthetic.

High expectations among players and fans
Community forums and social networks are already filled with theories and excitement. The choice of Johto as the new region not only appeals to nostalgia, but also represents a renewal for the metagame.
With legendary cards, standout illustrations, and new ways to play, Marine and Sky Saber promises to be one of the most relevant expansions since the game's launch.
