María Becerra's followers lashed out at her when they saw the photos that she shared from Finland, the country that she chose to see snow for the first time.
According to what she said in one of her videos, the only time that she had seen it snow in her life was in 2007, when sleet fell in Buenos Aires due to the low temperatures.

However, the controversy did not arise because of the destination, but because recently the star had allegedly been promoting a "national and popular discourse," which would not coincide with her actions.
A user told her: "Aren't you the shameless one who 20 days ago was saying that people had to stay in the country, that there were really cool things and blah blah blah?".
In response, Becerra angrily replied: "I just did a show that gave work to 500 Argentines. I love my country, I go on vacation in my country, I invest in my country, I help whenever I can, I am setting up a foundation in my country, I carry my flag and I defend it everywhere I go. What do you do, besides busting my balls? Tell me, because I am interested in knowing."
Las criticas a María Becerra por su viaje a Finlandia
Although she thought that with this answer the criticism would stop, it kept increasing. Another woman said to her ironically: "Hey, it was so cold in Argentina at Christmas. Her eyelashes even froze... Ahh no, wait... Aren't there good things in Argentina to spend Christmas? Still, what most catches my attention is Rei's toxic attitude of taking her far from her family."
Arrogantly, María Becerra told her: "Have a little piece of bread, Vicky. Let's see if that way your hunger goes away." Unable to believe the artist's answer, the user shot back: "Still, you had better give the bread to someone who is hungry, because in Argentina there have been many, for decades.".

Realizing the reaction that her words could provoke, Becerra wanted to lower the tone of the conversation a bit and clarified: "Obviously I know it, I am a person who is fully aware of what is happening, That's why I help many families, hospitals, foundations, and now I am setting up my own foundation."
