Mariana Fabbiani tore into Viviana Canosa live: 'You and I are not the same'

The América TV journalist referred to her colleague's accusations against Lizy Tagliani

In the latest broadcast of DDM (América), Mariana Fabbiani opened the program with a powerful editorial full of direct criticism toward Viviana Canosa. The host replied without filters to the remarks her colleague had made the previous day, where she not only publicly questioned her but also hinted at supposed details of her personal life.

"Viviana Canosa, say what you have to say. Speak up! Stop with the threats", exclaimed Fabbiani in front of the camera, visibly upset. Far from downplaying it, the journalist decided to confront the accusations and reflect on the limits of current television content.

Although the statement began directed at Canosa, Mariana soon shifted the focus to a broader critique, directly targeting Adrián Suar, Programming Manager of Canal 13, for allowing certain levels of media exposure.  "The fault is not with the pig, but with the one who feeds it. We already know what Viviana Canosa is, the whole media knows her. Whoever was born a pig will die a pig," Fabbiani shot, in a phrase as forceful as it is controversial.

The host expressed her concern about what she considers a degradation of standards on television: "What does surprise me is that all this is happening from the screen of Canal 13. A screen that had prestige, quality, warmth, where those of us who work in this medium wanted to be."

In a tone of direct complaint to Suar, Fabbiani asked:  "What are you doing with the screen of Canal 13? How far are you going to go? What is the limit? Does anything really go? For me, not everything goes!" The journalist questioned the apparent desperation for ratings, and added with irony: "Which they don't even get, on top of that!"

Finally, Mariana emphasized her ethical and professional distance from Canosa: "Viviana Canosa, you and I are not the same, we have nothing to do with each other, we are not alike!  I was on that channel's screen for many years, at the same time slot, leading, and I didn't have to threaten anyone."

Fabbiani closed her statement with a concerning reflection on the present state of the media: "It causes me deep pain to see how our medium is being destroyed."
