The entertainment world received devastating news this Wednesday: the death of Meche Portillo, an iconic producer who accompanied Rodrigo Lussich and Adrián Pallares for years on various television projects. Her passing had a strong impact both among industry figures and among followers of the shows she was part of.
The health complication that ended her life arose after a work trip to the province of Jujuy. The team had returned to Buenos Aires on Saturday, November 22, when the last group photo was taken, which was later shared on the program.
A few hours later, Portillo suffered a severe decompensation. Doctors detected bilateral pneumonia, a critical condition that required her urgent admission to intensive care.

Rodrigo Lussich had described that moment as one of the "most difficult tests" his friend had faced. Both he and Pallares had publicly requested prayer chains in recent days, reflecting the seriousness of her clinical condition.
The confirmation of her passing came through a lengthy message that Lussich posted on his social media. In his farewell, he recalled Portillo's strength and shared parts of a letter he had written when there was still hope of reading it to her in person.
"If the air is no longer enough for you, I'll carry your name wherever I go. I wish I never had to publish this letter. But now you're flying through new and clean skies, full of colors. One day I'll catch up to you and we'll fly together again," he began.
The host accompanied his words with photos from different moments they shared and thanked those who sent messages and prayers: "Thank you for your affection. I know it reached her and accompanied her on this journey without suffering."
Within minutes, Adrián Pallares also posted his farewell. He expressed his disbelief at the news and highlighted the essential role Meche played in his professional and personal life.
