Wheat broke a historic record with 6 million tons. National deregulation is driving private investment

The private agricultural sector of Córdobaonce again demonstrates its enormous productive capacity. The national government's free-market policies generate confidence among producers. The Grain Exchange projects a total volume that will exceed 37 million tons.
The great engine of this growth was wheat with a record contribution of 6 million tons. This cereal experienced a spectacular 126% jump compared with the previous season. The end of export restrictions encouraged private actors to plant massively.
Producers invested their own capital to plant 9 million hectares. This area represents a 3% increase compared with the previous cycle. The national government stopped suffocating the countryside and the positive results are evident.
El maíz se consolida como el cultivo de mayor volumen con 17 millones de toneladas.
The yield of commercial freedom
The excellent performance of wheat managed to offset the decline in some summer grains. Corn is consolidating itself as the highest-volume crop with 17 million tons. This figure implies a slight 1% increase supported by a larger planted area.
Sunflower is also posting positive numbers with an estimated harvest of 583,000 tons. This volume marks a 5% increase that confirms the good moment of the activity. The macroeconomic predictability of Milei's administration is a key factor for planning.
Soybeans and peanuts are on the opposite side, with declines tied to weather-related issues. The oilseed harvest will contribute about 11 million tons with an 18% drop. Peanuts will experience a 38% reduction due to the marked scarcity of rainfall in the south.
El sector privado agropecuario de Córdoba vuelve a demostrar su enorme capacidad productiva.
Private investment against the climate
Sorghum closes the group with 347,000 tons and a year-on-year contraction of 39%. Weather disparities affected yields in areas where the drought was very severe. However, the final balance for the provincial economy will be highly favorable.
The Córdoba countryside invests at risk without asking for subsidies or bailouts from public funds. The new national administration understands that lowering the tax burden is the way forward. With clear rules and without state intervention, agricultural production has no ceiling.
