Milei's government deported five dangerous foreign criminals
They received final sentences for crimes involving violent acts, the use of firearms, or repeated offenses
Five foreign criminals who had convictions for serious crimes, including aggravated robberies and possession of weapons of war, were deported from the country by the government of Javier Milei in an operation carried out by the Migration Affairs Police Station of the Federal Investigations Superintendency, with the collaboration of the National Directorate of Migration and special units of the Ministry of National Security.
Although the procedure became publicly known in recent hours, it was carried out on Thursday, May 22, according to sources linked to the case. The measure affected Jefferson Andrés Rojas Pedraza (Colombian), Danilo César Abarca Muñoz (Chilean), Jhonattan Saúl Figueroa Rodríguez (Peruvian), Roberto Cañete Cabañas (Paraguayan), and Paolo Martín Vespa Pino (Uruguayan).
All of them had final sentences for crimes that, without exception, involved violent acts, use of weapons, or repeat offenses. The procedure began at the Madariaga Annex Detention Division, where the individuals were removed from their places of detention. Subsequently, under the custody of four full brigades, they were transferred to Jorge Newbery International Airport, from where they were deported.

The deportees' criminal records
The criminal records of the five deportees cover various cases registered in multiple jurisdictions:
Rojas Pedraza, of Colombian origin, had a conviction for attempted simple robbery, participation in illicit association, and robbery committed in a town and in a gang, under the jurisdiction of National Criminal Enforcement Court No. 5 of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
Abarca Muñoz, a Chilean citizen, was sentenced for a theft case processed before Enforcement Court No. 1 of Morón.
Figueroa Rodríguez, of Peruvian nationality, was serving a sentence for aggravated robbery with use of a firearm, as ordered by Enforcement Court No. 1 of La Matanza.
Cañete Cabañas, originally from Paraguay, was facing a case for unlawful possession of weapons of war, under the jurisdiction of Federal Administrative Litigation Court No. 12.
Finally, Vespa Pino, a Uruguayan citizen, was linked to a case for aggravated robbery through the use of a firearm, filed in Federal Court No. 2 of Rosario.

The decision to proceed with the expulsion, according to official documentation, was based on the seriousness of the crimes committed, the immigration status of those involved, and the existence of final convictions or criminal proceedings in the execution stage.
The operation, carried out thanks to coordination between the Argentine Federal Police, the National Directorate of Migration, and the Judiciary, is part of a migration strategy aimed at “strengthening control over the criminal records of foreign citizens” and “protecting public order and security.”
This action is part of the policies promoted by the government of Javier Milei. Through the social network X, Minister Patricia Bullrich celebrated the expulsion: “President Javier Milei signed a substantial migration reform. In just a few hours, we've already begun deporting criminals who were in Argentina. They're already out, in their countries,” she stated. She added: “Here, people who want to come must be good people.”
