The Government of Javier Milei, through the Ministry of Human Capital, formally requested information from the General Directorate of Culture and Education of the Province of Buenos Aires regarding a possible episode of Kirchnerist indoctrination that took place during a school event at St. John's School, located in the district of Pilar.
The national ministry sent a note to the Buenos Aires educational authorities after becoming aware of a video recording that, as it specified, must be verified by the provincial jurisdiction.
According to what was stated in the official communication, in that recording an inspector from Region 11 allegedly made, in front of primary-level students, ideological remarks related to the immigration policy of the President of the United States, Donald Trump. In that context, she allegedly stated that this policy is based on the rejection of "what is different", among other biased characterizations.

The ministry headed by Sandra Pettovello maintained that, if the facts are corroborated, they could be classified as partisan indoctrination in the school environment. In the document sent to the Province, it was emphasized that this type of situation affects the psychological integrity of students, their right to receive an adequate civic education, and the free development of their thinking.
The note was channeled through the Secretariat of Education, and it recalled that the National Constitution guarantees the right to teach and to learn. It also stressed that international treaties with constitutional status protect freedom of expression and thought.
The same document cited various current regulations, including the Convention on the Rights of the Child, Law 26.061 on Comprehensive Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents, and Law 26.206 on National Education, which establishes that students must be respected in their freedom of conscience and protected against any psychological aggression. It also mentioned Law 26.892 on school coexistence.

The Ministry also included references to Decree 415/06 and Decree 1086/24, the latter incorporating provisions on children's freedom of thought and action. As indicated, this regulation establishes that the imposition of a political-party stance in the educational sphere violates the right to dignity, personal integrity, and freedom.
In the same vein, it was recalled that the Constitution of the Province of Buenos Aires provides that education must respect freedom of conscience, while the General Regulations of Buenos Aires Educational Institutions prohibit the placement of political party symbols in school establishments.
Finally, the national ministry requested that the General Directorate report whether an investigation has been initiated to determine the veracity of the facts; what measures will be adopted if they are confirmed; what tools the agency has to prevent or sanction indoctrination situations; whether there are similar precedents or complaints; and what protocols are applied to guarantee pluralism and freedom of thought in schools.
