The Government of Javier Milei anticipated an impressive legislative offensive after the passage of the Labor Modernization bill in the Chamber of Deputies, by confirming that it already has a broad package of initiatives in preparation that will be sent to the Congress.
The Chief of Cabinet, Manuel Adorni, revealed that the libertarian administration currently has "50 bills" ready to move forward, which anticipates a period of intense parliamentary activity in line with the reform program promoted by President Javier Milei.
The official's statements came after two weeks of intense legislative debate over labor modernization, one of the main initiatives of the ruling party, which obtained preliminary approval in the Chamber of Deputies and will have to return to the Senate for its final approval.
However, beyond that specific bill, the Government made it clear that labor reform is only one part of a much broader agenda that seeks to transform different structural aspects of the country.
In an interview with Radio Rivadavia, Adorni confirmed the scope of the legislative plan and previewed the scenario that is coming in Congress. "I have 50 bills on the table" and for that reason "it will be a busy year in Congress," he stated.

He also explained that the order in which these initiatives will be addressed will be defined directly by the President, once the comprehensive design of the regulatory package is completed. "When we finish designing the entire framework of laws, the President will review the framework of priorities," he pointed out.
In that regard, Milei himself had anticipated this scenario after the electoral victory obtained by La Libertad Avanza in the legislative elections of October 2025. At that time, the head of state was categorical when he projected the institutional future of the country and stated that as of December 10 of that year Argentina would have "the most reformist Congress in its history."
That definition set the political course of the ruling party, which since then has been working on the design of initiatives aimed at promoting deep changes in the functioning of the country.

Meanwhile, the Government continues to move forward with labor reform, a key piece within its program. During the same interview, Adorni defended the initiative and highlighted its importance in the current context. "Labor reform is essential in an Argentina with 43% informality, wages that have suffered real declines over the last 50 years, and you haven't had job creation for 12 years. It is a reform that motivates employers to hire people," he maintained.
He also questioned the union criticism and defended the approach of the bill by pointing out that they seek to generate more favorable conditions for formal employment. "They are against the reform without any kind of analysis of the text of the law because defending low wages and the lack of job creation seems surreal," he stated.
