The Argentine Foreign Ministry reported that the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, will make an official visit to the United States on October 14, where he will be received at the White House by President Donald Trump.
The trip is part of the excellent bilateral relationship that unites both countries and presents a new opportunity to continue deepening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
According to the official statement released on the social network X, the meeting will be based on the values shared by Argentina and the United States, with special emphasis on the common commitment to freedom, democracy, and the prosperity of the people. The meeting in Washington seeks to consolidate that joint vision and continue strengthening cooperation in various areas of the bilateral relationship.
The Argentine delegation accompanying Milei was invited by Trump to stay at Blair House, the official residence designated for heads of state visiting Washington. This protocol gesture demonstrates the official nature of the visit and the level of recognition granted to the Argentine president.
The meeting at the White House will take place shortly after the meeting both presidents held in New York during the last United Nations General Assembly. There, Milei and Trump had a dialogue in which the U.S. president gave his full support to the Argentine president, which served as a prelude to the official visit now taking place in Washington.
During that meeting, Trump described Milei as a "truly fantastic and powerful leader." In addition, he handed him a letter with a post from his social network Truth Social, in which he supported his reelection as president of Argentina.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that this new meeting represents another step in strengthening ties between Buenos Aires and Washington, and reflects the excellent moment the bilateral relationship is experiencing. This support is part of a series of gestures of support from the United States toward Milei's government.
