The Pokémon TCG Pocket A4a miniset leaks and sparks debate due to the new mechanic
The Uncharted Waters set introduces EX versions of Raikou, Entei, and Suicune with an ability that concerns players
Pokémon TCG Pocket made headlines again after the leak of the A4a Uncharted Waters miniset, which is scheduled to arrive on August 28, 2025. The information was mistakenly leaked from the game's Korean YouTube channel and quickly went viral on social networks like Reddit.
The main attraction of this expansion is the ex versions of Raikou, Entei, and Suicune, which arrive with a new mechanic called Legend Heartbeat. This ability allows the player to draw a card at the end of each turn if the Pokémon is in the Active Spot.
An ability that could change the meta

Although it may seem like a minor detail, the possibility of drawing extra cards in a strategy game can make a huge difference. Community players warn that this ability could accelerate decks in an unbalanced way, increasing the chances of quickly obtaining key cards.
Comments such as "It's like having five copies of Professor Oak" or "Although it's limited to the Active Spot, it's still a broken ability" reflect the level of concern among fans, who fear a drastic change in the game's meta.
Expectations ahead of the official release

According to the leak, the miniset will be available starting August 28, and DeNA is expected to release the official trailer with all the details in the coming days. In addition to the Legendaries, new cards with unprecedented moves and abilities are anticipated.
The big question is whether the legendary ex trio will really be "broken" as many suspect, or if the cards will be balanced with limitations such as low resistance or reduced health points.
A divided community
While some players fear that Raikou, Entei, and Suicune will disrupt the balance of Pokémon TCG Pocket, others welcome the possibility of adding these powerful cards to their decks. What is certain is that the A4a Uncharted Waters set is already shaping up to be one of the most controversial and anticipated expansions of the year.
