The visit of the Minister of the Interior, Diego Santilli, to the province of Misiones marked a new step forward in the national Government's strategy to broaden consensus throughout the country. The meeting with Carlos Rovira, president of Frente Renovador Neo, was interpreted as a high-impact political signal: Misiones reaffirmed its willingness to engage in dialogue and its decision to support the construction of agreements that benefit its citizens.
The explicit support for Governor Hugo Passalacqua's request to include provincial priorities in the 2026 Budget demonstrates a key alignment with the federal agenda promoted by the national administration.
Pension funds, ATN, and fuel: Misiones's main demands
During the meeting with Santilli, Misiones's leadership presented a concrete and urgent agenda. The first point was the regularization of pension fund resources, a longstanding demand that the province considers essential. Although the issue is included in the 2026 Budget bill, Misiones warns that the projected amount is merely symbolic compared to what it is actually entitled to receive.

Another crucial issue was the full inclusion of National Treasury Contributions (ATN) and the distribution of the fuel tax, resources that the province considers indispensable for maintaining public works, services, and fiscal balance in a challenging economic context.
In line with its commitment to dialogue, Misiones accompanied the budget discussion with a concrete proposal: to reduce the ARCA rate—currently set at 1.9% by Law 26.546—to 1% and to reincorporate the remaining 0.9% into the revenue-sharing pool for all provinces.
This proposal aims to create a more equitable and federal fiscal framework, in line with the national Government's strategy to improve economic incentives across the country.
Rovira: "Misiones is here to help and build together"

After the meeting, Carlos Rovira highlighted the province's commitment to serious and collaborative institutional dialogue: "Misiones is here to help and build together", he stated, in line with Frente Renovador Neo's position of working in coordination with the national Government and promoting agreements that benefit provincial development.
The political image resulting from Santilli's visit consolidates Misiones as an active partner in the search for consensus. For the national Government, coordination with the provinces is a pillar for sustaining a path of growth, investment, and development. Meanwhile, for Misiones, it represents the opportunity to ensure its voice is present in the 2026 Budget debate and in the definition of strategic policies for northern Argentina.
