San Lorenzo still can't find peace. In addition to the internal conflicts surrounding Marcelo Moretti's return to the presidency, a new legal case has now emerged, once again stirring up the club's institutional life. The executive is under investigation for alleged forgery of public and private documents, an incident that reportedly took place during his leave of absence as head of the "Ciclón."
According to reports, the episode occurred during last season's Copa de la Liga semifinal against Platense. Back then, Moretti entered the stadium accompanied by his bodyguard, who was carrying a credential from the Ministry of National Security that is believed to be fake. The judiciary is seeking to determine whether the documents were indeed forged and who authorized the entry of that delegation into the venue.
For this reason, Julio Lopardo, who served as interim president during Moretti's leave, and the club's general secretary, Martín Cigna, were summoned to testify as part of the investigation.
