The former president of Ciclón criticized the current leadership headed by Sergio Constantino and referred to the leadership vacuum and the sanctions

San Lorenzo is going through turbulent weeks and, far from calming the atmosphere, it added a new chapter with the public reappearance of Marcelo Moretti. The former president of the club published an extensive statement on his personal social media in which he launched harsh accusations against the current leadership and defended his time at the Ciclón.

From the beginning, Moretti spoke bluntly and denounced an "institutional coup d'état planned in advance together with some officials and pro-government assembly members", aiming directly at the acting president, Sergio Costantino.

According to his account, in meetings with AFA held in October and November, the current head of the club presented a project to inject 12 million dollars and solve the financial problems, something that, he assured, never materialized. "The money never appeared and it has already been 20 days of his term since he usurped power in the club", he wrote.

Meanwhile, the former president was even harsher when he referred to the current economic situation: "Another big lie. They are not going to put in a single peso", he stated. "With a non-existent power vacuum (because the courts will rule favorably on such an administrative and documentary mess), he insisted on carrying out the institutional coup d'état for the mere whim of being in the place that the members did not give him at the ballot box", he asserted.

"They are going to lift the transfer bans that they themselves caused with the money from the sales of the players on the roster that I put together", he fired, then summed up: "The coup plotters are going to pay their debts with the Moretti administration".

In his message, he also listed assets that, according to him, remained in the club to generate short-term income, such as percentages of Giay, Leguizamón, Sosa, Hausch, and Julián Palacios, in addition to receivables from abroad and players with a market.

He also warned that the current leadership will resort to rushed sales of players such as Romaña, Báez, Tripichio, Gill, Reali, or Cuello. "They are going to sell off assets in a hurry, without a football project, without planning", he criticized.

Moretti also defended his sporting and economic management, recalling that during his term all the transfer bans that were inherited were lifted, reinforcements were brought in, and youth players were promoted. "The person who is writing these lines lifted all the transfer bans in the three transfer windows in which he served as acting president (they were transfer bans from the previous administration, from yours Chiche [referring to Constantino])", he emphasized.

Finally, the former president ended his post with a forceful phrase: "Facts and actions speak for themselves". The next step that Moretti will take in order to try to reverse the power vacuum and return to the presidency of the club will take place once the judicial recess ends at the end of January.
