This model leads used car sales in Argentina and remains the most chosen in the market

The used car market continues to rise and one model in particular stood out in March. With a large number of transfers, it consolidates as the most chosen option for those seeking an affordable and reliable vehicle.

According to the Automotive Trade Chamber (CCA), this model tops the sales ranking in the country. Its popularity is no coincidence: it is economical, easy to maintain, and has strong demand in the second-hand market.

The best-selling used car in Argentina

During March 2025, the following models were the most transferred in automotive records across the country:

  • VW Gol and Trend: 8,025 units
  • Toyota Hilux: 5,434 units
  • Corsa and Classic: 4,170 units
  • Ford Ranger: 3,683 units
  • VW Amarok: 3,638 units
  • Ford EcoSport: 2,927 units
  • Peugeot 208: 2,888 units
  • Toyota Corolla: 2,750 units
  • Fiat Palio: 2,721 units
  • Ford Fiesta: 2,598 units

The Volkswagen Gol was for years the best-selling 0 km in Argentina. This explains why it remains the leader in the used market. It is an affordable option, with economical spare parts and simple maintenance.

Why is the Volkswagen Gol still the most chosen?

Besides its historical popularity, the Gol stands out for:

  • Accessible maintenance costs.

However, it is important to note that the Volkswagen Gol doesn't have stability control, a mandatory safety system for new cars since 2022 in Argentina.

Used car sales grew in March

The CCA report revealed that in March there were 142,383 transfers in the country's automotive records. This represents a 34.36% growth compared to March 2024, when 105,969 units were transferred.

However, compared to February 2025, when 149,004 units were sold, last month recorded a slight decrease of 4.44%.

In the year-to-date, 461,423 vehicles were sold, marking an increase of 40.54% compared to the same period in 2024.
