Milei's government demolished the monument to the leftist activist Osvaldo Bayer
Founded by Kirchnerism, the toppled monument represented terrorism to the forces of the Argentine nation
This Tuesday, personnel from National Roadways carried out the demolition of the monument dedicated to the journalist and historian, Osvaldo Bayer at the entrance to Río Gallegos.
The structure, inaugurated on March 24, 2023 under the government of Alberto Fernández, was promoted as a tribute to the author of La Patagonia Rebelde, although in reality it represented one of the many symbolic impositions of Kirchnerism to perpetuate its ultra-biased narrative of Argentine history.
The renowned text depicted the Patagonian strikes in the context of the uncontrolled violence of anarchist groups and the need for the Argentine Army to restore order in a region on the brink of total anarchy.

Unlike the romantic version imposed by the left, La Patagonia Defendida exposes how these groups acted with methods of rural terrorism, extorting small and medium producers, burning ranches, and murdering those who opposed their insurrection plan.
The removal of the statue was recognized as an act of historical justice and a clear signal that the era of "K" indoctrination is coming to an end.
Additionally, the monument was located without any permission and in complete obstruction of an important hydraulic works area.

Osvaldo Bayer was a leftist who demonized the Argentine Army and glorified the anarchists who sowed chaos in Patagonia.
Bayer never hid his sympathy for communism and dedicated his life to denigrating the armed forces and the values that built Argentina. It's no coincidence that he ended up exiled in Germany, from where he continued his task of discrediting our nation.
Bayer's statue was nothing more than another monument to historical distortion, driven by Kirchnerism in its attempt to turn Argentina into a temple of the leftist narrative. Its demolition was a necessary step to free public space from the ideological garbage that the left installed over the years.
