Alfredo Casero blasted Julio Chávez: 'I don't want him at all, Darín is better'
The actor spoke about his health, recounted his abrupt departure from a show, and revisited his confrontation with Chávez
During a recent interview on the show Puro Show (El Trece),Alfredo Casero once again made headlines. Besides talking about his health and a recent surgery, the actor harshly criticized Julio Chávez, recalling with anger his time on the soap opera Farsantes (Pol-ka).
Casero, true to his direct style, also explained why he left the show Bondi Live live, where he had a heated exchange with the host Pepe Ochoa. The actor held nothing back and, once again, made it clear that he isn't afraid to speak his mind.
His health status and his anger on Bondi
At the beginning of the interview, Casero spoke about his recovery after a hip replacement surgery. "The cane is already behind me, I'm doing very well," he stated. He explained that the natural wear of the hip led him to the operating room and that the recovery was positive.

Then, he referred to the tense moment he experienced on Bondi, the show by Esteban Trebucq. There, he got up and left in the middle of the interview. "They have the bad habit of screwing over the person who's talking. You can't start talking on the other side when someone asks for silence three times," he launched.
According to Casero, he was bothered by the lack of respect. "Pepe or papa, I don't care who it was, I'm not interested," he shot back. He recounted that when he asked for silence, Ochoa replied, "What's up, Alfredo?" and that was enough for him to "lose it." "I'm already old," he concluded with resignation.
The television that wasn't and a bitter memory
When asked about the return of Cha, Cha, Cha, he clarified that he didn't feel he was closing a cycle. "I would have loved to do it on television, but I was canceled for many years. No one was going to take a chance," he confessed.

He highlighted that the only one who supported him was Adrián Suar. "I love him a lot, he was the only one who bet on me," he said, referring to his participation in a film produced by Suar. He took the opportunity to criticize those who make decisions in the media. "I had to explain to people with very low IQs, but a lot of power, what Cha, Cha, Cha was. They wanted me to do something like Midachi or Francella. They didn't understand anything," he sentenced.
He defended himself against old prejudices. "They said the show smelled like eggs, that no women worked there, all lies," he assured.
The open wound with Julio Chávez
When talking about El Eternauta, Casero was blunt. He said he saw a fragment, but he didn't like it. "I know the comic. Darín isn't that character. What I saw had nothing to do with it," he opined.
Regarding the recent controversy between Darín and Julio Chávez, he didn't hesitate to take sides. "I don't like Julio at all. Darín is much better," he shot without filter.
He recalled with bitterness his experience with Chávez in the series Farsantes. "It was a very good soap opera, but it was a nightmare to endure him. He made actors like Arana leave and ruined my last great work on television," he explained.
He assured that he tried to approach Chávez on more than one occasion, but always received disdain. "He has a way of treating you as if he were bigger than he is, and to me, he isn't," he expressed.
For Casero, the most important thing is to be able to finish a project well. "I never forget what he did. It's very important to finish a job well, and that didn't happen. He has a derogatory and low way of treating people. That's why I don't like him," he concluded harshly.
Alfredo Casero fulminó a Julio Chávez.
