Amid rumors of internal restructuring, one of the Xeneizes' legends expressed his desire to return to the team where he once excelled

The worst winless streak in Boca's history seems to have pushed Juan Román Riquelme to make essential decisions. According to reports, the Xeneize president is considering a restructuring in both professional and amateur football, which could lead to the departure of historic names from the Football Council.

Among those targeted to leave their positions are Raúl Cascini and Mauricio Serna, two men who have been extremely trusted by Riquelme since he took over the club's leadership. The only one who would remain in his position is Marcelo Delgado, marking a paradigm shift in the management of Xeneize football.

Meanwhile, a name that evokes mixed feelings among the fans has started to emerge: Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya. The former goalkeeper, who came up through Vélez but had a long and distinguished career at Boca during the 1990s, expressed his desire to return: "I'd like to come back home," he told journalist Alexis Dassie.

The possibility of Mono joining a renewed technical structure arises as part of Riquelme's plans to redirect a sports project that currently appears worn out and rudderless, both at the professional level and in the youth divisions.

The context is significant: the squad's internal issues, the questioning of Miguel Ángel Russo, who is seen as more out than in, the separation of key figures such as Rojo, Lema, and Saracchi, and the increasing pressure due to poor results, have put the current administration in check, which seems determined to wipe the slate clean.

Thus, amid a tense and uncertainty-filled atmosphere, Boca could experience in the coming days one of the biggest leadership reconfigurations since Riquelme's arrival at the club.
