A tragedy shook the Córdoba locality of Las Varillas this Wednesday, where a municipal worker lost his life while performing waste collection tasks. The incident occurred during the morning, when Juan José Bivanco, 35 years old, fell from the rear of the truck he was riding on and was run over by the same vehicle. The victim died at the scene as a result of the impact, and an investigation was launched to clarify the causes of the accident.
The information was confirmed by the Police, who detailed that the worker was carrying out his workday at the time of the incident. The accident occurred suddenly, under circumstances that have not yet been fully determined by the experts. Local authorities began taking statements and conducting expert analyses to clearly establish how the fall occurred.
Bivanco's death caused deep shock among the residents of Las Varillas and among his coworkers. In this context, the municipality declared three days of official mourning and suspended all scheduled activities in public offices.
