Palacios broke his silence after the rumors: 'I wasn't erased, I wasn't drunk'
The forward denied conflicts with Miguel Ángel Russo, defended his commitment, and targeted the Chilean press
Carlos Palaciosreplied to the reports that have circulated in recent hours regarding his situation at Boca, after a media outlet published an image with the headline "Drunk and erased?" and an alleged statement from coach Miguel Ángel Russo: "He won't play with me anymore". The forward decided to make his statement on social media and deny any act of indiscipline.

"Would I like to be playing much better? Of course. I'm the first one who wants to regain my level and the most self-critical with myself to get back to the level I had in the first months. I promise you that I'm working for that and much more," Palacios wrote on his account.
In his post, the striker denied having missed training sessions or having had any confrontation with the coaching staff or his teammates. "These haven't been my best matches, but I'm aware of that and I'm working to get back to my level," he stated, while trying to calm the rumors that grew due to his poor performance and some of Russo's tactical decisions.

Additionally, Palacios strongly criticized some media outlets from his country: "To the Chilean journalists who lately also let themselves be carried away by 'rumors' or lies: stop making people believe things that are lies and creating controversy with absurd things. Because there are families and children behind who read and see your lies."
The forward used his statement to reaffirm his professional commitment and make it clear that he isn't experiencing any internal conflict, despite reports suggesting otherwise.
Meanwhile, the club from La Ribera hasn't issued any official statement regarding Palacios's situation. Russo's team is training as usual and preparing to face Atlético Tucumán in the round of 32 of the Copa Argentina, in a match that will be played in Santiago del Estero.
