The president of Colombia, the communist Gustavo Petro, described this Monday as a "murder" the operation in which United States destroyed a second vessel in the Caribbean Sea, in which three Venezuelan narco-terrorists were traveling.
"They've just destroyed another boat with three (people). Even if they're carrying cocaine, killing three passengers of an unarmed and unarmored boat with a missile is murder, and the United States government is murdering Latin American people in their own land," Petro stated during a cabinet meeting broadcast on television, expressing deep concern for the eliminated drug traffickers.

According to the president, the offensive against the dangerous criminals took place in Venezuela's "territorial sea," an area where Washington "has no right" to act. However, this statement is false, since the Trump administration clarified from the outset that the attack was carried out in international waters.
"If there are Latin Americans here who grant the United States government the right to murder defenseless Latin Americans, they're nothing but lackeys," Petro added.
