Javier Milei will lead this Saturday, in Las Higueras, the official presentation of six F-16 fighter jets acquired from the Kingdom of Denmark by the Ministry of Defense. The event, rescheduled from its original date, will take place at the Córdoba air base and marks a step forward in the modernization of military aviation. The arrival of the F-16s improves air surveillance and strengthens the defense of national airspace in the face of regional challenges.
Gianfranco Lucchesi, the local mayor, confirmed the agenda and described the adaptations made at the municipal site to receive authorities and the public. The official stated that a designated area was prepared for observing the arrival and access and services were organized for the press and attendees. "It looks very nice, with a unique spot to watch when the planes arrive, which are arriving today," he told a local media outlet.
According to official sources, the arrival is scheduled with a ferry at 12:00 and the forecast is that the six F-16s will land on the runway around 13:00. The official ceremony will include an air parade and flight demonstrations showcasing high-precision maneuvers and tactical exercises. In addition to the technical component, the government states that the purchase strengthens the nation's air defense in a regional scenario with strategic dynamics.
