PRO mayors won't consult Macri and are preparing their move to La Libertad Avanza

The blow represented by the third place of Macrismo in the recent elections in CABA accelerated the movements

When asked about the possibility of closing a deal in the province of Buenos Aires with La Libertad Avanza, they comment from a municipality in Greater Buenos Aires, with strong ties to PRO, that "the ballot is going to be La Libertad Avanza".

The phrase clearly reflects the stance of the majority of mayors who were elected in 2023 under the umbrella of Juntos por el Cambio and who are now preparing to align with the party of President Javier Milei, especially after his victory in the City elections.

Even without the need to do so publicly, the blow represented by the third place of Macrismo in the recent elections in CABA accelerated the movements.

"There's no need to consult Mauricio anymore, nor is it necessary to rush to affiliate with La Libertad Avanza," summarize the proponents of the agreement, aligning with the approach proposed by Javier Milei in a television interview this Monday.

Another leader who shares that diagnosis states: "What happened in the City is a reconfirmation of what many mayors have been saying for a year and a half, which is that to beat Kirchnerism in the Province, there's no other alternative but to go all together".

The moves to La Libertad Avanza

The mayors close to Diego Santilli and Cristian Ritondo, two national deputies who have already been called by Javier Milei to reach an agreement in PBA, are the ones who have been planning their exit for some time.

Among them are Guillermo Montenegro (General Pueyrredón, who even shared a photo with Karina Milei in Congress), Sebastián Abella (Campana), Lisandro Matzkin (Coronel Pringles), Marcelo Matzkin (Zárate), Diego Reyes (Puán), Juan Ibarguren (Pinamar), Jorge Etcheverry (Lobos), and Fernando Bouvier (Arrecifes).

This group also includes Ramón Lanús, mayor of San Isidro and with a close relationship with Patricia Bullrich, who did not hesitate to state that Sunday's results in the City "confirm that Kirchnerism is in its final stage".

In that same line, other leaders considered "allies" appear, such as Francisco Ratto (San Antonio de Areco) and Santiago Passaglia (San Nicolás). All of them, in general terms, strongly promote an alliance with the libertarian officialdom in the Buenos Aires area.
