The provincial government reached an agreement with the Liaison Committee to apply the IPIM as an adjustment index. Discounts for good compliance and new bonuses will be maintained
The Government of Córdoba and the entities of the Liaison Table defined the criteria for updating the 2026 Rural Property Tax.The increase will be around 30% and will use the Wholesale Domestic Price Index (IPIM) as a reference, corresponding to the period from October 2024 to October 2025. The measure will be part of the Tax Law project that the Executive will send to the provincial Legislature in the coming days.
Durante el encuentro, realizado en Río Cuarto, participaron funcionarios provinciales y representantes de las cuatro entidades agropecuarias.
Update based on the IPIM index
During the meeting, held in Río Cuarto, provincial officials and representatives of the four agricultural entities participated. The Ministry of Economy, together with the Ministry of Bioagroindustry, proposed the use of the IPIM, considering that it more accurately reflects the evolution of costs. According to the latest record, the year-on-year index shows a variation of 24.5%, but the annualized projection would bring the adjustment close to 30%.
The 30% discount will be maintained for taxpayers with good compliance and an additional 5% for Good Agricultural Practices (BPA). As a new feature, a new 5% benefit will be added for owners who work their own establishments. The Province also announced a pilot test of multi-risk insurance associated with BPA, which will cover about 550,000 hectares.
Según el último registro, el índice interanual muestra una variación del 24,5%, pero la proyección anualizada llevaría el ajuste cerca del 30%.
Insurance details and payment mechanisms
The multi-risk insurance will cover damages exceeding 70% caused by drought, flooding, hail, wind, or frost. The objective is to offer coverage against extreme weather events that affect agricultural production. The system will be implemented as an initial experience that may be expanded depending on its results during the next agricultural cycle.
The single payment may be made without adjustment until May 10, 2026, counting from the publication of the payment slip. Banco de Córdoba will enable the use of its cards to pay the tax, in line with other provincial taxes. Rural entities requested that the payment slips be issued in advance to facilitate producers' financial planning.
La medida formará parte del proyecto de Ley Impositiva que el Ejecutivo enviará en los próximos días a la Legislatura provincial.
