The confrontation that ended with El Puma off the plane
According to his message, he had just performed a show in Quito and had barely slept. "At five in the morning I had to be at the airport", he explained, emphasizing the accumulated fatigue from the trip.
Rodríguez explained that he always travels with a bag where he keeps his medication and places it under the seat. However, this time, he was assigned to the first row, where that space is usually restricted. "I put the bag under the seat and the chief flight attendant came to tell me it couldn't be there", he recounted.
The singer agreed to have his bag stored in a compartment, but admitted that he made an ironic comment about the crew member. "I said it was nonsense, something simple to solve". Another crew member heard the remark and accused him of insulting him.
"I felt humiliated": the artist's account
According to his testimony, he was informed that they would consult with the captain to decide whether he could remain on board. Despite his apologies, the decision was to remove him from the plane. "They threw me out like a criminal", he lamented.
El Puma maintained that he had never had problems with the crew and that he always tries to treat people well. "I was exhausted, I felt very bad both spiritually and physically", he added.
