The renowned American actor is in Argentina together with his Italian colleague Riccardo Scamarcio, with whom he is promoting Modigliani: Three Days in Montparnasse, his second film as a director.

During an interview with TN (Todo Noticias), the journalist told the actor that the Argentine footballer had publicly declared himself his "number one fan."

However, Depp's response surprised everyone: "Mmmm... no, I don't know him. Maybe I do, I don't know, I don't think so," he replied with a laugh, showing a completely bewildered expression.

The video of the moment went viral within minutes. In the recording, the actor appears genuinely confused by the name of Galatasaray's striker, while trying to maintain his composure.

"I don't know him. Maybe I do, but I don't know," he insisted at another point in the conversation, generating even more reactions among Argentine fans.

In various posts on his social media, Mauro Icardi had mentioned Johnny Depp, whom he considered a "role model" for the way he went through his scandalous trial with Amber Heard.

Amid his crisis with Wanda Nara, the footballer even compared himself to the actor, even sharing images of himself and phrases alluding to the legal process faced by the Hollywood star.

However, judging by the reaction of the Pirates of the Caribbean star, the connection was completely one-sided.
