Pumas and Talleres in Córdoba, a unique and historic encounter

The national rugby team visited the spectacular Albiazul training complex and carried out activities with 'T' players

On Thursday, two days before the historic match against the All Blacks at the Kempes Stadium in Córdoba,  Los Pumas visited Talleres's training ground and participated in activities with its players.

It was an unprecedented meeting that celebrated the essence of Argentine sports.  With the support of Le Coq Sportif, two disciplines that at first glance seem distant—rugby and soccer—came together to show that they share much more than a passion for competition.

Among others, rugby stars captain Julián Montoya, Juan Cruz Mallía, "Tutín" Moyano, Marcos Kremer, Bautista Delguy, and Tomás Albornoz participated, while for the "T" there were captain Guido Herrera, Federico Girotti, Nahuel Bustos, and Augusto Schott, among others.

It was a day in which values were the true common thread: teamwork, effort, respect, camaraderie, passion, and commitment.

Through cross challenges, precision tests, and recreational activities, the players experienced a close and relaxed exchange that strengthened the connection between both sports worlds.

"As technical apparel sponsors for both teams, we seek to create experiences that go beyond the game, that connect on an emotional and human level. These moments reflect who we are as a brand: a big family where respect, passion, continuous work, and the commitment to improvement are essential parts," said Denise Chanel, Marketing Manager of Le Coq Sportif.

Frenzy for Los Pumas in Córdoba

The city of Córdoba has a 71% hotel reservation rate ahead of the match between Los Pumas and the All Blacks on Saturday the 16th. The expectation is to reach full occupancy by the weekend, boosting tourism and commercial activity.

The Argentine rugby team hasn't played in the city for 11 years, which guarantees a large influx of fans. The economic impact benefits hotels, restaurants, and businesses, with increased activity driven by other cultural events.

These events show the value of private initiative in sports promotion.

Local authorities highlighted that national macroeconomic stability is key to sustaining tourism flows. Visitor spending translates into employment and regional development, strengthening Córdoba's economy.

The event reaffirms the importance of policies that encourage private investment in sports.
