Rafa Nadal will invest USD 200 million in Argentina to build seven luxury hotels
Daniel Scioli, Secretary of Tourism of the Nation, confirmed it through a post on social media
Rafael Nadal has stopped competing in professional tennis, but he didn't choose to stay at home resting or watching series. On the contrary, he remains very active and focused on his business activities. In addition to managing his academy in Mallorca, he has devoted himself entirely to the real estate business, a fact that was confirmed this Tuesday with major news.
According to reports, later confirmed by Daniel Scioli, Secretary of Tourism of the Nation, through a post on social media, the former world number 1 will participate in an investment of nearly 200 million dollars in Argentina, aimed at the construction of seven luxury hotels in different parts of the country, something driven by the remarkable stability and economic recovery achieved by the Government of Javier Milei.

The chosen destinations are some of the most popular tourist spots: Bariloche, El Calafate, Iguazú, Mendoza, Posadas, Salta, and Ushuaia. Nadal arrives with his hotel chain ZEL, in partnership with Meliá Hotels International. The first hotel will be built in El Calafate, and construction is expected to begin probably next year.
In March 2025, the ZEL brand will land in the Caribbean with the opening of ZEL Punta Cana, an all-inclusive resort. This opening represents the first international expansion of the chain created by Rafael Nadal in alliance with Meliá Hotels International, which until now had two hotels in Spain: one in Mallorca and another in Costa Brava.

ZEL was conceived with a clear objective: to bring the Mediterranean lifestyle to different places around the world through a hotel experience focused on nature, movement, and personal connection. "A space to feel good, active, and free," Nadal explained, who participated directly in the conceptualization of the complex, incorporating his vision of sport as a tool for physical and mental balance.
The resort has 190 suites distributed among tropical gardens, pools, and paths with native vegetation. The rooms are designed under the concept of "outdoor living," with a style that combines natural materials, light tones, and spaces designed to open to the outside and enjoy the surroundings.
