What the 4x4 version of the Renault Niagara would be like
According to Auto Esporte, the more adventurous variant would be called Outsider. It is a name that Renault already uses on models such as the Kwid, Duster, and Oroch, always linked to a more robust aesthetic.
On the exterior, it could incorporate:
Bumpers with exclusive details.
"Outsider" appliqués on the doors.
Side steps.
Sport bar in the bed.
Inside, it would have a dashboard with a specific character and differentiated floor mats. The overall silhouette and the front grille would retain features from the prototype presented by the brand.

Confirmed mechanics: 1.3 turbo engine and automatic transmission
The major novelty will be the addition of 4x4 traction, designed for off-road use. This configuration will coexist with versions featuring front 4x2 traction.
In both cases, the mechanics will be handled by the well-known 1.3 TCe turbo engine with four cylinders. In models such as the Boreal, it delivers 156 hp and 270 Nm of torque.

The transmission would be the six-speed EDC dual-clutch automatic. It is the same one that the Kardian and Boreal already use, according to the Brazilian outlet.
Domestic production and launch
Renault's new compact pickup will be manufactured in Argentina starting this year. The commercial launch is scheduled for the second half of the year.
With a unibody structure and a line-up that will include 4x2 and 4x4 versions, the Argentine Renault Niagara will seek to position itself in the competitive compact pickup segment. The brand's official confirmation is expected in the coming months.
