Before his show was picked up by Disney's media conglomerate, the Democratic host refused to apologize for his comments

Left-wing television host Jimmy Kimmel was not willing to apologize for his offensive comments about Charlie Kirk's death and planned to double down on his attacks against President Donald Trump's supporters.
These were the reasons that led Disney to indefinitely suspend Kimmel's show, and he learned of the decision in a phone call from the entertainment giant's top executive, Dana Walden, on Wednesday afternoon.
During the call, Kimmel allegedly refused to comply with the public apologies requested by Disney executives and the owners of dozens of ABC affiliate stations. The alleged comedian felt that his comments did not require an apology, a source told The Hollywood Reporter.

In this regard, Disney feared that if Kimmel had doubled down on his mocking comments against the Trumpist movement and Charlie Kirk's death, the company would have been forced to make a more drastic decision than simply suspending the show.
The host also faced the fury of Sinclair Broadcast Group and Nexstar, companies that own dozens of ABC affiliate stations broadcast across the country, which labeled his comments as distasteful and decided to end his show. Brendan Carr, chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), also criticized him.
Sinclair even requested that Kimmel issue a direct apology to Kirk's family and make a "significant donation" to Turning Point USA, the organization the late commentator founded in 2012. It is still unclear whether Kimmel is willing to return to hosting the late-night show after Disney's actions.
In a monologue that aired Monday night, the host mocked Kirk's death and blamed the "MAGA gang" for his death, claiming that the leader's killer, Tyler Robinson, was part of this movement, when authorities have already revealed that he was a left-wing activist who belonged to the terrorist organization Antifa.
