Ricardo Darín once again addressed the viral phenomenon that originated from a domestic comment about the price of empanadas. The actor discussed the topic this Monday during an interview with Mario Pergolini on Otro día perdido (El Trece).

Darín explained how an everyday conversation with his wife ended up turning into a "mess" that dominated social media and TV shows.

The actor detailed that it all began one morning when his wife, Florencia Bas, asked him if he knew how much a dozen empanadas cost. The number surprised him and, according to his account, it was "stuck in his marrow".

"It seemed expensive to me, but everything had seemed expensive to me," he recalled. Some time later, he mentioned the anecdote on a TV show and the comment exploded. "I thought it was nonsense, but in 48 hours I couldn't believe it," he said about the reaction.
