The Argentine actor shared from Spain his excitement about the arrival of his first grandchild
During his appearance on Arriba Argentinos (eltrece), May Martorelli detailed that the actor is experiencing this wait with a mix of restrained joy and deep respect for family timing. According to him, there is no need to anticipate: what matters is being present when the time comes.
At 68 years old, Ricardo Darín is experiencing one of the most emotional moments of his life: he will be a grandfather for the first time. From Spain, where he is for work commitments, the actor spoke for the first time about this new stage that fills him with enthusiasm and excitement.
True to his relaxed style and with a knowing smile, the actor from classics such as El secreto de sus ojos or Nueve reinas confessed how he imagines he will be in his new role: "I'm going to let my grandchild do everything he shouldn't do, I'm going to spoil him. That's basically the role of grandparents," he said with a laugh, making it clear that he is ready to become the future baby's favorite accomplice.
The news came at a great personal and professional moment for him. With the serenity that characterizes him, Darín explained how he is experiencing this present: "It's an unprecedented situation for us, all we can do is approach it with kindness, wisdom, and patience. There's no need to rush, I'm savoring it."
In the interview, Darín also referred to his life partner, Florencia Bas, with whom he shares this new family challenge. With complicity, he revealed what her reaction was when she found out she would be a grandmother: "Look, I'm leaving now and I'll come back when they're a teenager, because I don't want to change diapers," he said, amused.
The anecdote was met with laughter in the studio, but it also revealed the relaxed and loving dynamic with which the couple is going through this change.
The conversation led to broader reflections on how grandparents usually behave very differently than when they were parents. "My mom used to throw her slipper at me, but she doesn't throw anything at my children. She's a different person," Martorelli commented, in a scene with which many viewers felt identified and happy for the new member who will join one of the most beloved families in the entertainment world.
