In recent hours, journalist Guillermo Pardini stated on Mitre Live that the channel might be "for sale" and that it may have already been offered to an industry entrepreneur.
The report sparked surprise, controversy, and a wave of questions about the financial situation of the channel led by Migue Granados.
The information was revealed in a conversation with Juan Etchegoyen, where Pardini detailed how this information came into his possession and why he believes the possibility of a sale would not be far-fetched.
"There's a stream that's for sale and it's OLGA. I received the information from a very reliable source, a media insider who doesn't like the camera but knows a lot about the industry, telling me that this stream was for sale," he stated emphatically.
According to his account, when he received the information he decided to contact OLGA directly, where—according to his statement—they denied that the project is for sale.
El blanqueo del personal sería la principal complicación para la empresa
However, Pardini maintained that the story doesn't end there: "The person who told me this information was called by an entrepreneur asking about OLGA and saying that they had been offered to buy it."
The journalist explained that this negotiation did not move forward because his source would have advised against the deal. "My friend told this entrepreneur not to buy OLGA because it was not advisable. It did not move forward because he explained why it was not convenient," he added.
Pardini went further and gave his interpretation of the channel's current situation: "Do you know why OLGA is always holding events? If streaming is a success, why are they looking elsewhere? This is business. I'm telling you at this hour that OLGA is for sale."
According to his analysis, streaming media may have reached a commercial ceiling that makes their sustainability difficult: "It makes sense for it to be sold because streaming has reached its peak and they're not going to get more money. If they're going to have more expenses, the numbers won't add up. They're going to have to make more things official."
