After weeks of rumors surrounding her personal life, the actress chose an unexpected setting to give her interview
After a long time away from television studios and amid a new wave of media controversies, María Eugenia "La China" Suárez decided to speak publicly again. However, this time, she will do so in a classic format, far from the streaming and podcasts that usually set the entertainment agenda.
The scoop was revealed by Yanina Latorre on Sálvese Quien Pueda (Canal América), who surprised everyone by announcing that the actress will give a single exclusive interview and that both the location and the journalist in charge have already been determined.
"I have a scoop: China's going to give a single interview! Olga didn't want her. Luzu TV didn't want her. They kept offering her because Disney is worried about the series, it needs to be promoted," Yanina said live, referring to the new production the actress stars in for the platform.
In a context where entertainment figures usually choose digital spaces to appear more relaxed, Suárez's decision to reappear on traditional television surprised everyone.
"There's still no official statement, nothing has been released. They know China doesn't get along with almost anyone on TV... but she had to return to television," Latorre explained, hinting that the interview is more of a promotional strategy than a personal desire.
Finally, the journalist revealed the mystery: "This Friday, China Suárez will be with Mario Pergolini on his show. I think they're going to record it that same Friday afternoon."
The news caused an immediate reaction, not only because of the actress's return to a traditional format, but also because of the journalist chosen.
Mario Pergolini sería el único periodista hasta el momento que aceptó tener una entrevista con la actriz
Pergolini, who keeps a critical and direct style, promises a no-holds-barred conversation, which raises great expectations among the public and the media.
The interview comes amid the promotional campaign for the new Disney+ series starring Suárez, whose launch was overshadowed by recent media scandals: from rumors of conflict with La Joaqui to speculation about her relationship with Mauro Icardi.
According to Latorre, the platform's production team had been insisting that the actress make a public appearance to shift the focus of the conversation. "It needs to be promoted, they're worried about the series," she explained.
For this reason, the communications team reportedly offered various media outlets and platforms the opportunity to interview her. However, both Luzu TV and Olga—two of the most influential streaming spaces at the moment—are said to have declined the proposal.
